I love the Nia community!

I love to do Nia because it allows me to free my mind from the stressful workday and the best things about it is the wonderful friends I have made. I love the community, kindness, and joy I receive from other Nia dancers.

Your classes are awesome!

I just wanted to let you know that I think you and your classes are awesome. You are such a positive motivational role model! And even though we are all different shapes and sizes and personalities and different levels of dance skills, we are all still really beautiful. Thank you for the opportunity to be whoever we want to be and just enjoy. I do feel that your Nia dance class serves me well.

It makes me feel alive!

I love to do Nia because it gives me a sense of freedom and makes me feel alive. I love it because I can move at the level that suits me, and that is okay!

I feel energised after your class!

I just love dancing Nia with you and the girls! After a busy day at work l often come home exhausted not really wanting to go out again, but I come to your class and feel so energised afterwards. You bring so much passion to the dance.

This is the place to let it out and express your inner dancer!

Having discovered Nia from a book in the library, I have come to appreciate its versatility and joy. I like that so many different disciplines have been combined to give the body a thorough and enjoyable workout yet still be a great dance routine. The combination of dancing at my own level, following particular steps and freedance make for a "no pain, lots of gain" experience. The friendliness of both teachers and other participants and the supportive atmosphere means that it's okay to be off the beat, out of step, arms up when they ought to be down, etc. and it doesn't matter. Just keep moving, laugh and have fun. For anyone who (like me) feels that there is a dancer inside them trying to get out, this is the place to come to let it out and express itself.

The classes bring out the best in me!

I have thoroughly enjoyed all your classes. I very much appreciate your direction, energy, example, gentleness and sense of humour. You have a light but firm 'touch' in the class which I find very encouraging and brings out the best in me. Thank you.

Fantastic teacher!

I forgot to tell you how much I loved it especially your humour, loved a laugh, fantastic Teacher no improvements needed!!!

Loved it!

The 52 Moves Programme helped me feel more confident!

I enjoyed doing the 52 moves programme. I feel that now when I do the normal class and you name the moves, like squish walk, I think "yep, I know how to do a squish walk" so I feel more confident in the regular classes, which make it more fun. I also really appreciated reading the book. It was good finishing off with the 52 moves routine too.

Enjoyed the depth of the 52 Moves Programme!

I appreciated the idea of holding the 52 moves programme to start with, thought was a good idea for people to have the chance to go over the moves more in depth which is not really possible in a ‘normal’ class situation with everyone at different levels, and due to time constraints. Plus was good timing for me personally what with me being a relative newcomer.

Re my normal class comment above, I like the class set up i.e. doing the routines and learning as we go (to good music!), but do think it’s a good idea having the separate 52 moves class, as imagine would be a lot more slow paced (not as fun) if had to spend more of our class time going through the individual 52 moves.

I also thought was good value, especially having the book included. I liked the fact that you did a final class to go over all the moves (which I unfortunately had to miss!)

I felt positive and restored afterwards!

I had no idea what to expect when I arrived at the Intro to Nia workshop, but Stephanie instantly made me feel welcome and at ease. She has such a warm demeanour which flows beautifully into her teaching. What I liked most about Nia was the balance between structured elements and free-dance. There is so much variety within one session, you're bound to find a move or piece of music which appeals to you. Stephanie's encouragement and assurance allowed me to loosen up and really let go of any inhibitions; I felt positive and restored afterwards!

Looking forward to dancing Nia!

Thank you for your love of Nia and your graciousness in teaching me. It has been a great year and I'm sooooo looking forward to dancing with our little Nia class next year.
