Welcome to Plensory Movement

“Plensory” is the blending of two words: pleasure and sensory. Plensory Movement is about moving in ways that include both pleasurable and sensory actions. It is about getting the healthy body you want, moving in ways that are safe, pleasurable, and invoke body sensations. This type of movement is more about understanding your body and the way you move it towards holistic health and well-being, rather than simply going through the motions to tick the boxes on your fitness checklist.

There are a number of pleasurable and sensory based modalities available to us, each modality speaking to our individual body sensations in a variety of ways. What may feel pleasurable to one body may not feel the same to another. A modality that invokes sensations today may not provide the same sensations tomorrow.

By tapping into body awareness and getting in touch with our body sensations, we learn to gravitate towards movement that feels good – not just physically, but mentally, emotionally, and spiritually as well.

In the past few years, I have personally achieved Plensory Movement through a few modalities:
Nia, a dance-based fitness programme which energises nine different movement forms, encourages me to move my ‘Body’s Way.’
Centergy, a fusion of yoga and Pilates where we move in time to uplifting music, focuses on full body strength, joint mobility, and flexibility.
Yoga, encompassing asana, pranayama, relaxation, and meditation, leaves me feeling stronger, centred, balanced, and focused.

A beautiful dance between form and freedom – my body is happy, healthy, and feels stronger every day.
I invite you to join me to find your Plensory Movement.
